Among the best well-known performs of American literary works have a theme about characteristics and how wonderful, beautiful and astonishing nature is. Of all the possible literary works that contain a theme about nature there is three especially that are going to always be described from this essay. These three works are " A Description of New England, " by David Smith, " Rip Truck Winkle, " by Buenos aires Irving, and " Thanatopsis, " by simply William Cullen Bryant. Every single has a very good way of conveying characteristics and how beautiful it is to these people.

In " A Description of New England, " John Johnson talks about just how amazing the nature is in the new world. He performed this to persuade visitors to come towards the new world and so they and he may profit from the abundance of nature that he views while traveling. He talks about just how wondrous characteristics is by saying, " Via Penobscot (a river and bay for the Maine coast) to Sagadahoc (another riv in Maine now named the Kennebec River) this kind of coast is mountainous and isles of huge rocks although overgrown with all sorts of superb good timber for building houses, vessels, barks, or ships, [and] with an amazing abundance of all sorts of fish, much chicken, and sundry sorts of great fruits to get man's use. " (Smith 57) This individual hopes that folks will come and use the abundances of the mother nature he views to obtain rich by building their own properties, shops, cities and to live a good lifestyle.

Then in " Copy Van Winkle, " Wa Irving gives an illustrious description with the Catskills Mountain range in New york city. He says, " Whoever made a journey up the Hudson must remember the Kaatskill mountains. They are a dismembered branch of the truly amazing Appalachian friends and family, and are noticed away towards the west from the river, puffiness up to a rspectable height, and lording it over the surrounding country. Every change of season, every change of climate, indeed, every hour of the day, produces several change in the magical colours and gradation of these mountain range, and they are considered by each of the good wives, far and near, as perfect barometers....
